Research:

Dr. Furui's current research interests include time-dependent borehole stability, sand control and volumetric sand rate prediction, injection-induced earthquakes, high-rate matrix acidizing in carbonate reservoirs, hydraulic fracturing and fluids diversion technology, well completion performance evalution, and coupled reservoir and geomechanics simulation. He has published more than 40 journal articles and conference proceedings.
